Once everything has calmed down, Christo stands apart from his comrades, wings still on full display and a phone to his ear.
"Did they see it?"
"Oh yes," the voice on the other line responds. "From what I heard, several of them even held watching parties! You've got a promising career ahead of you, little Christo~"
The corner of his mouth twitches, but Christo just barely manages to bite down on the comments he wants to make. "Good. Better than I was hoping for, even. Has there been any response so far?"
"Mmmmm... It's hard to say. Some people in the chat seemed to think it was part of some movie production. And then there are others who won't be swayed no matter what you do. You know how it is."
"I thought that might be the case," Christo says with a confidence that his shaking hand and tight chest betray to anyone watching him. "Which is why I would like to make a declaration."
He stands straight, squares his shoulders, and balls his free hand into a fist. "If Celestia still intends to fire Armageddon, or if I think they intend to, I will leak Celestia's coordinates to as many known daemon factions in the Outlands as I can."
The man on the other line gasps. "You're serious? If you do this, you'll end up branded as a traitor, you know."
"I'm aware. And frankly, I don't care. I'll cut every tie to Celestia that I have if I must."
There's a moment of silence from the other line, and when the man speaks again, he sounds almost overjoyed. "My, my... You've grown, haven't you, Christo?"
Christo doesn't respond, immediately hanging up the phone and stuffing it into his pocket. He lets out the breath he was holding, completely unaware that he's being watched.
