While he may have been absent while the majority of Daybreak's allies were arriving, Avery has made sure not to be late for the final battle. A grin practically splits his face in two as he watches the campus transform, temporarily forgetting about the state of his papers, books, and ferrari in the wake of gazing upon the coolest thing he's ever seen.
He lets out a low whistle. "Wow. If that doesn't get you in the mood to fight, I don't know what will. Think they'll let me near the guns?"
B is for Battlefield
Avery dashes from lantern to lantern, a dark shadow leaving rings of traps in his wake. Pillars of blackened fire erupt forth at his arrival, a ten-foot-tall snake of a shadow slithering out of the dark to use his magic to rout any enemy in his path.
That said, while he's good at the killing part of his job, technically he's supposed to also be placing down the occasional magical lamp, having been volunteered for his ability to slip between enemy lines. It might be a good idea to remind him before he goes on another killing spree.
C: Here comes a new character!
Those who have already spoken with Avery might notice something odd: there appears to be two of him now: one that looks and acts exactly as expected and another flying high up in the sky like some sort of deranged phantom, laughing to himself as he puppeteers invading daemons and foes to dance with him and attack their allies.
He and Avery seem to be keeping their distance from one another, growing tense and unhappy when they have to be in close quarters, but other than that the second is as happy as he can be.
