Who: Rover & Open
When: January
What: Rover has a new upgrade. It's time to test it out and push the limits. And also get their arm stuck in a tree.
Warnings: Well there's a lot of talk of being down an arm/limb loss but it's a robot so ???
a; nice to meet you
[When Christmas comes and Rex decides the appropriate thing to do is give Rover an upgrade, they're excited. They've always known they can be improved, modified, adjusted to do things bigger and better, so they let Rex open them up willingly. They're curious to see what their first - because they have no doubts there's more to come - upgrade will be, and once the procedure is over and done with...
Well.
They're even more excited.
At random intervals on campus, people can notice two things: one, there's an arm flying around campus. It's propelled by some sort of booster, and the ending seems to be made of metal, and it definitely seems to have some sort of awareness to its surroundings, occasionally stopping to wave or finger gun at the people it passed. Or, two, they can notice Rover wandering around campus, lacking an arm from the elbow down. They don't seem bothered by this at all - the end of their arm ends in a metal plate, shiny and concave.
They do, however, seem a little lost.]
It was over here, right...?
[Right?]
b; check this shit out
[Reunited with their arm, Rover immediately decide the next thing they need to test is what their new rocket arm can carry. They're heavier than they look, so they are clearly the best candidate. They also have impeccable balance, so once they get on their arm they're able to stay upright and ride it around.
So, yeah. Rover is zipping around campus on their arm, laughing to themself. There's a 50/50 chance they're going to crash into someone just turning a corner, but they don't care.]
c; fuck
God dammit.
[Rover is standing in front of one of the many trees on campus, staring up into the leaves.]
Oh, come on!
[Their arm is missing from the elbow down again, and their only hand is running through their hair, frustrated. If anyone is particularly observant, or inclined to come closer, they'll notice that wedged solidly in the branches of the tree is...an arm. An arm that looks like it would snap right back into place into Rover's arm.
Yeah. This is embarrassing.
They kick the tree, groaning, though that doesn't do much.]
d; wildcard
[Feel free to come at me with anything and everything!]

Things Jonathan does Not expect to see; a
arms
???
That's an arm. Jonathan is so shocked he very briefly starts falling, recovering even as the arm no doubt waves.] ...Hello?

At least, right up until they almost collide with the poor innocent bird-boy in midair. Probably he should have known better than to be flapping around so low. Quick reflexes and months upon months of air time save him from being smashed by a robot!! Nothing saves him from a undignified landing.]
< Hey! Robo-dude! Watch where you're going! >
C
Fucking deserve it, babe.
