It depends on the definition of need. Some would say so. Others would argue strenuously against it. [ Prayer is a rhythm, a routine, a remnant of his old life. He used it to steady his hands and his breath, to keep himself calm. Now he will always have steady hands, and breath is no longer an issue, but still he prays, because he is closer to Death than ever before. ]

Angels were always figures that humans would pray to, in my experience. [ He's certainly seen little shrines in the Outlands, in the houses of those who knew. Lawmakers, lawkeepers, guide us in the path of eternal justice. ] I admit it's a little surreal to know that even angels pray to someone, mortality aside.

[ When the force you pray to is Death, it feels like quibbling over whether a god is dead or not is a bit pointless. ]
