[The end of the world can lead someone to morbid thoughts, maybe. And Nana... well, Nana's greatest fear is being alone. To her, being forgotten is the same; it's the kind of loneliness that comes from being ignored, writ even larger.

She listens, blinking. It's a different mindset than hers. It surprises her -- it makes sense, in that way something she's never considered can make a lot of sense.]


No one owns a piece of you... I think I see what you mean. But... it's the end, too. I don't know... I feel like death must be lonely. And... I don't really want to feel that way, ever again.

[She says the last part a little quietly.

She said a little more than she meant to. She blinks, though -- then the smile comes into focus again, and then she nods.]


...that's true, though. When you've left behind a legacy like that, you've really made a mark. Happiness, sadness... it all stays around, no matter what, doesn't it?
