Claire quickly made her way back to her room, and spent about an hour or two finishing up lesson plans. The door was cracked open if anyone wanted to bother her, especially given the next part.

Once her actual lessons were planned, she went about researching any obvious cases she could get to by car, and started packing her go bag. A beat up suitcase with an old laptop, several fake I.D.s belonging to various agencies she wasn't old enough to be a part of. Some weapons, and some clothes that could both pass her off as a backpacking college student or a young fresh faced professional. The bag and gear of a Hunter.

Because fighting monsters is a fully healthy life choice. If anyone wants to catch her before she's gone for a few days, this would be the moment.

Claire had been home for a few days, and had made herself at home in the shooting range or the gym most afternoons. Sure she had a few nasty bruises on her- well, most places you could see, but that never slowed down the girl's ability to work out. And of course she could still shoot straight, she needed to make sure her guns were in top shape too.

And, a few times, she can be found in the sauna. She puts herself through a lot, she needs a little bit of relaxing time letting steam do its work.

Claire regularly spends her mornings and middays in the libraries looking into one topic or another. Most of the time it is her way to prepare research projects for classes. She needs to research the right answers before she asks them to use the school resources to find how to banish a God, or seal a Genie, or some other stupid errand that might come up. Other times she's looking into lore that might lead to a weapon, or a spell, that could help them with the whole apocalypse thing looming on the distance. And sometimes a Hunter calls, and asks her to make use of the school's library for a hunt.

Now she's got a bunch of books on warding charms and defensive magics. The sort of thing you might use to defend or beef up the security of a dorm. Claire's uneasy with the events of late at the school. And is trying to find a way to keep her floor, the kids she's responsible to protect, safe. She's not thinking she'll find anything. And some things are hard to implement with at least one demon on her floor. So she can't just- leave a banishing charm somewhere.

Killing your kids is the opposite of protecting them.

So the research is slow going, but she's still putting in the legwork. Plus, this might come in handy to know. Like every other hunter trick in her arsenal. So Claire can be found in the library, or in the Aube 3 common room, reading books in languages that are decidedly not English. Well 'awkwardly translate' with her rudimentary linguistic skills and a search engine. But- details. Come say hi, or ask what the hell she's up to.
