The doctor is still in. And also she isn't a doctor
Who: Bai Lin and others
What: Catch-all for August
When: August
Where: Around the school
Warnings: Implied offscreen naughtiness
-Office hours-
2-5pm, mon-thurs are the official times that Lin can be contacted by anyone who needs to talk to the school counselor. The reality of it, however, is that she will talk to anyone at any time who needs her. She is a sucker for a sob story.
Her office was starting to look a bit more lived in. Aside from the standard issue furnishings (filing cabinet, bookshelf, desk, chairs, etc), she had added a teapot and a bunch of varieties of tea, a baby animal wall calendar, and a small incense stick holder (currently not in use).
-Training hours-
Lin had promised several people that she would try to teach them what she knows, for various reasons. Either they wanted her help or she thought they needed it and had talked them into it. What she had NOT promised to do, despite what others might think, is to actually teach them martial arts. Her techniques could be alarmingly lethal and, in the wrong hands, could get a lot of people hurt. She was very careful about who she taught them to. Meditation and breathing techniques, however, were perfectly safe to teach, good for mental health, and legitimately the foundation on which a lot of other stuff was built. So technically she hadn't lied to anyone!
She generally met people in the gym at the Legionnaire Quarters, as she found the Mythril Cage to be too hostile looking for her preferences.
-Power hours-
Lin loved new experiences, but she also found routine comforting. It was how she had grown up. In the morning she jogged and meditated. In the afternoon she worked. In the evening she lifted. Back at the Legionnaire Quarters, but on her own time now, Lin made ample use of the weight machines. When you don't have a flame, or a magic crest, or a daemonic contract, you have to grab every advantage you can, and that means staying swole as fuck.
Who else uses their evenings to hit the gym? She's not here EVERY night, but she's here often enough that one might be forgiven for making that mistake.
-Wildhours card-
[If you got other ideas hit me up on discord or plurk, or just throw a prompt at me and I'll roll with it.]

[He nods, and won't tell her that he hates tea. It's not important. He sits in the chair, curling up as much as his long limbs allow. Now that he's here, and things have already gone unexpectedly, he doesn't know where to start, so he waits for her to speak first.]

[Lin bustled about her tea collection as she spoke. She held a box of chamomile teabags towards Toki for a moment in a "you want a hit of this?" sort of way. There was still time for him to back out of something he didn't want politely. Or he could just take it and not drink it.]
Your body is still living in a time when humans weren't the top of the food chain and we could be eaten by bears or saber tooth tigers at any moment, though. In this modern world, your body is often wrong.

But we could be eaten by bears or regular tigers or giraffes at any moment!

My point is panic is your body trying to react like a wild animal. You are not a wild animal because you are capable of wisdom and empathy and long term planning and all that stuff.
[In theory.]
Obviously, I'm not just saying "Stop panicking." because that's worthless advice, but it is the basic idea of what I'm hoping to show you how to do, if you'd like me to.

[He doesn't know what the point is, though.]
Yes, that's what I came here for...

[Lin pushed some stuff aside to clear a spot on the floor and unrolled a yoga mat big enough for two people. She took a seat and gestured for Toki to take a seat as well.]

We're not doing like actual yoga, right?

Okay...
[He's already bored and looking at things around the room.]
