Who: Yuya and you
When: First week or so of October
Where: Around Campus
What: Yuya deals with the consequences of trying to kill people in a fae-induced haze.
Warnings: Trauma talk about violence, attempted murder, etc. Bullying??
[Face the Music]
[The year doesn't start like the others. The horror of what Yuya's done during the night of the Hunt sets in quickly--all the people he terrorized and hurt before he was pulled from it. Targetting his friends, dragging Odd-Eyes into a frenzy through his connection--so he doesn't make it to classes his first week back, so sick with himself.
But he can't hide forever. On the first of October he trudges through the halls to class, strangling his book bag in his arms with his head held down.
The whispers start in the hallway, but it isn't until he sits down at his desk and he looks up that he realizes how... wary some people are. Quick, nervous glances pointed his way and switching seats to put distance between them until he's isolated by empty desks.
Yuya stares ahead, hands trembling, completely lost to his classwork as he counts down the seconds until he can run out of there.]
[Penalty]
[He tries to avoid everyone everywhere else. That's easier for his friends, whose habits he knows better to dodge the hallways they go down, their rooms or lunch periods. But he doesn't know everyone he pursued, even rememeber all of them clearly, and sometimes when avoiding the crowd he's blindsided.
It's the girl, standing next to a boy a little taller than her. The one with the shield, and she's one he does recall immediately when he sees her--her arm wrapped in bandages and a tense recognition locking her whole body up when they make eye contact. Oh, he'd certainly tried to kill her.
Yuya takes a step back, croaking a weak sound from his throat as he tries to speak. To apologize, even if no words are going to be enough. Maybe he moves too quickly, or the wrong way, because the boy lunges into action immediately. He grabs Yuya's arm and shoves him against the wall, and Yuya curls in on himself.] You--
I'm sorry! [Like sorry is really enough, and doesn't he have every right to be mad at him? Doesn't she?]
[Extra Curricular]
[He sneaks by the sign up sheets for clubs towards the end of the day, where he thinks he can miss most of the people. His name is already on there, of course, as one of the first in preparation for running the club for the new year. Right next to Nana's.
Yuya grabs the pen connected to the clipboard, setting it firmly to the paper. He hesistates, biting his lip... then slowly drags it over his name, back and forth to cross it out.]

Yuuya. Your wants were not truly your own. Do you know how I, the man Gongenzaka, know this?
...It is because you have regret for those actions in the first place, Yuuya!
no subject
It doesn't matter if he's sorry. He has to live with the mess he made.] But I--I'm sorry, I... I'm sorry.

[Gongenzaka's grip is firm, and he does his best to get his boyfriend to look him in the eye.] With matters such as this, there is only one thing to do, Yuuya.
We move forward. What has happened, has happened- but no one has lost their life, and no one was injured beyond recovery. What is important then, is taking hold of those actions in such a way that you recover from them.
You make certain, that it cannot happen again- you learn to protect, and forgive yourself- for you yourself were a victim as well, even if of a different sort.
It shall be alright, in time Yuuya.
But you must be willing to accept that yourself, [he says quietly.]

Gon is so much better than he deserves.] I have to get it out.
[The demon.]

But Yuuya. If for whatever reason we cannot do so, or even if we do do so... ...I, the man Gongenzaka, would like to teach to you some techniques. Aaah?
[yuuya sucks at meditation, but gongenzaka does not care]
no subject
Okay. [He doesn't want to think of it not being possible. He doesn't have the control or strength of heart Gon has. It didn't take a fight to push him over the edge, he just... went. And he liked it.]

[Yuuya knows who he means, of course.]

Every step of the way, he'll be there.]

should what comes next be a separate log, or a continuation here?
Hopefully Valvatorez can offer answers.]

Either way, he is up and about browsing the temporary bookshelves, running his fingers along the spines of the books, muttering about them being put in out of order... before he hears the two boys draw close to his office. He doesn't turn around immediately, not knowing who they were, but he did beckon them to come in through the open door.
He eventually finds the book he was looking for, pulls it out, and turns around. When he sees just who came into his office, he quickly realized this would be a serious visit.]
Good day, gentlemen. ...Can I help you both with anything?
no subject
Yuya stops by the wall.] I need to get Zarc out of me.

Given recent events, Yuuya and I have determined it may be best to seek out a safe method of exorcism after all- I suspect, you can understand why, [he adds, taking in the room. Naturally, Yuuya wouldn't have been the only one affected by the hunt after all. Yuuya's just Really, Really good at beating himself up over it.]
no subject
I had a feeling that something like this might be coming, given what happened. ...I am afraid I owe you a sincere apology, Yuya. Even if the incident with the Lord of the Hunt was... unprecedented here, I still assured you that something like that would not happen.
...Clearly, I was mistaken. And I am sorry.
[The vampire walked over to his desk, and set the book he'd been looking for down; something about marine biology, so very much unrelated to the problem at hand. He instead walked over to another bookcase and began browsing through it.]
Now, though, there is nothing to be done but try to see this through. But understand, with someone like Zarc, this might not be a simple affair. He's no ordinary goon of a daemon, after all.

[Fortunately, finding the book he was looking for went much more smoothly this time, and he pulled it out quickly.]
Now then, Yuya. I'm going to have to ask you to submit to those more invasive magical evaluations. They are painless, and generally without risk, but as I said... they're something of a magical deep-dive, which some are uncomfortable with. We have to know the true extent of possession Zarc really has on you. While I still believe it is relatively weak... I will not make the mistake of underestimating it twice.
While I assume "whatever it takes" is a form of consent, as a matter of professionalism, I must do two things. First, to remind you that the university will keep the results confidential and private. Second, I will need your consent in writing, with your signature.
[With that, he heads over to his desk, opens a drawer, and begins rooting around for a consent form for Yuya to fill out.]
I apologize for the bureaucracy of it all, but we do take privacy very seriously. And if you want anyone else to know the results, make sure to note that on the form as well. Formalities, but I'd rather not have to deal with Professor Atchison giving me an earful about not following protocol.

And tries not to fidget.]

He took a seat behind his desk after Yuya finished signing the document.]
So, what will need to be done is a ritual. As I said, it's something of a deep dive... and will give me a much firmer picture of everything. If he's possessing you in some way, he won't be able to escape my eye for long.
Once I see for sure just where he's at, and what he's doing, I can better refer you to an exorcist here on campus. I will not be performing that, as you can imagine. I am a daemon myself, after all. ...Such a thing is not my forte. But the most complete picture I can offer will give you a better opportunity for success.
Of course, there will be a wait between our scan and my referral. I will have to analyze my findings and present them in a report. Again, bureaucracy, but this one I am not so quickly dismissive of.
Regardless, according to the ethical bylaws, you are quite allowed to have someone here observing, as well as an additional third party faculty member of your choice, if you so desire. Gongenzaka can act in the former capacity, if you would like, and if you desire another member of staff present, simply ask.
...I take it you would rather me do the ritual now rather than later, correct?
no subject
Whatever you think is best. [He glances to Gongenzaka as he says it, and it's directed more at him than Valvatorez. He feels a little distance from this all, putting their wants in regards to his situation above himself. But maybe it's not a bad thing, just letting other people guide him along. He wasn't exactly doing great with any of his own decisions.]

He shakes his head.] I don't... anything is fine. [Want for neither, and then he doesn't have to worry about a clash of opinions.]
You brought me here for this, right?
no subject
However, that does not mean going forward with what options are there simply because of what it seems another wants, or says- I, the man Gongenzaka, brought you here, yes...but it is still your choice to go through with the actions offered.
